37,069 persons inoculated till date: H&FW

State Health & Family Welfare department Tuesday informed that a total of 37,069 doses of covid vaccine have been administered across the state till date. 

State immunization officer (UIP) Dr. Ritu Thurr also informed that a total of 302 senior citizens in the 60 years and above category along with 22 beneficiaries with associated comorbidity above 45 years have been vaccinated across the state. He said the oldest beneficiary was a 96-year-old man from Dimapur. Dr. Thurr stated that vaccination of age-appropriate high-risk groups would be scaled up across the state from March 7, 2021. 

He also informed that left out frontline and healthcare workers would continue to get vaccinated across all session sites along with the age-appropriate high-risk groups.
