Join Committee on Prevention of Illegal Immigration (JCPI) has called for a consultative meeting on the proposed Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) and ILP at the conference hall of Tourist Lodge here at 11 am on March 12. Informing this in a statement, JCPI convener Atomi Swu and secretary Tia Longchar said that time has come for indigenous people of the State to take a stand on “our basic rights and privileges”.
JCPI stressed that apex tribal hohos and civil society organisations needed to converge and form consensus on RIIN exercise for “our” protective laws and provisions in the State.
