5 new COVID-19 cases in Kohima

Five new COVID-19 cases were reported in Kohima on Thursday, taking the total caseload to 12210.

As on March 4, the state recorded 12 active cases while 11949 persons have recovered from the infection so far.

Meanwhile, Health department Friday informed that a total of 41,099 doses of the Covishield Vaccine have been administered across the state till date. State immunization officer (UIP) Dr. Ritu Thurr said 759 senior citizens 60 years and above and 76 beneficiaries with specified comorbidities between 45-59 years have successfully received the COVID-19 vaccine without any adverse events needing medical interventions. 

Dr. Thurr said that vaccination would continue for the citizens across all notified COVID-19 vaccination centres (CVC).
