Team Metamorphosis led by its president, M James Tungoe organised a poster campaign under the slogan “plastic free town” in its main market areas in Wokha town on March 4, 2021.
In a press release, Team Metamorphosis stated that the campaign reiterated on the total ban of plastic bags, all single plastics, thermocol, polystyrene, plastic cups & plates, polythene, nylon, PVC, etc., as per government notification.
The release stated that the district administration/ULBS were authorised to decide and levy penalties against any defaulters and requested all public institutions, commercial establishments, educational offices, hotels, shops, religious institutions, etc., to strictly comply.
Further, the team also extended its gratitude to ADC & Administrator, Wokha Town Council (WTC), Mhathung Tsanglao for the support and tireless effort towards the implementation and success of the mission.
