Fire contained at Lerie Colony Kohima

Fire & emergency services team from Fire station Kohima (South) mobilised a team with fire tenders and equipments to control the fire which broke out at Lerie Colony, Kohima on March 6, 2021.

According to RO (E) (F&ES), Kenny Khing, a generator, paints and property worth Rs. 8 lakhs (approx) was lost in the inferno.

Due to timely information and response, the fire was controlled and property worth Rs. 3 crores was salvaged.

Cause of fire was suspected to be from electrical short circuit due to lightning, and no casualty.

The response team was led by duty commander, SI Keyirangsobe.
