Dimapur Police apprehended one person namely Hoto Ayemi, of Padampukhuri, Dimapur while extorting money near Trendz showroom Dimapur on March 12.
According to PRO, the accused was caught while extorting money from business community at Kher Mahal near Trendz showroom Dimapur and seized (1) UNPG NNC (Parent Body) ministry of Chaplee affairs tax slip – 23 nos, (2) duplicate money receipt – 2 nos, (3) mobile handset – 1 no, (4) cash – Rs.500 from his possession. In this connection, a case was registered at East Police Station, Dimapur.
Meanwhile, Dimapur Police intercepted one truck (NL01-L9951) from Patkai bridge area, Chumoukedima and arrested one person namely Poklen Singh, s/o Sanamacha Singh on March 13. The illegal IMFL (1) rum (Zeno) – 146 cases, (2) can beer (Tuborg) – 19 cases (3), beer (Kingfisher) – 23 cases (4),whiskey (Mc Dowell) – 21 cases were seized from the truck. In this connection, a case was registered at Chumoukedima PS, Dimapur.
