WSH president resigns from post

Western Sumi Hoho president Dr. Kakheto Zhimomi has resigned from the post owning moral responsibility for the violation of the Western Sumi Hoho resolution 2019-2022 “that no individual or group will be allowed to shed even a drop of blood especially in the case of land disputes and that matters pertaining to such issues be amicably resolved through negotiation.”

In a statement, Dr. Zhimomi stated that the above “resolution was passed in view of the perpetual land dispute between the Zeliang and Sumi community that had resulted in loss of many precious lives in the past.”

He also reiterated that there should be no room for acceptance of any form of bloodshed in a civilised society and for which the WSH vehemently opposed any violent crimes.

However, Dr. Zhimomi said the March 22 incident was a total violation of the resolution and declaration that had been passed. In view of this, Dr. Zhimomi said he has resigned as president WSH since he has “no moral right to hold the office any longer.”
