BETD submits memo to Piyush

Barak Extended Team Dimapur (BETD) has submitted a memorandum to Union Minister Railway, Piyush Goyal through advisor for Power, Tovihoto Ayemi for introduction of a direct passenger train from Dimapur railway station to Agartala.

In a memorandum, BETD said the direct train would benefit several lakhs of people of Barak valley (South Assam) and Tripura who are residing in the state of Nagaland, who faces untold hardships during the train journey due to non-availability of a direct passenger train from Dimapur railway station to Agartala.
BETD said Tovihoto gave a patient hearing to the plights of the people and assured to take up the matter on a priority with the Union Minister.
