COVID vax centres for above 45 years

In line with the Health ministry’s announcement that citizens above the age of 45, irrespective of co-morbidities, would be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination from April 1, state health department has notified various government health units as COVID-19 vaccination centres with effect from April 1-15, 2021.

In a press release, state immunization officer Dr.Ritu Thurr informed that all left out healthcare workers and frontline workers would continue to be vaccinated at all covid vaccination centre (CVC) sites.

India started nationwide COVID-19 vaccination on January 16 with healthcare workers and frontline workers. In the second phase that commenced on March 1, those who were over 60 years of age and for people aged 45 and above with co-morbid conditions were eligible for vaccinations.
