ATMAs undertake various activities

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Zunheboto conducted ATMA management committee (AMC) meeting on December 7 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Nagaland University Lumami campus with vice chancellor in-charge professor, A. K. Singh as special guest. 
In a press release issued by ATM Tokiye bock, Kaboli Wotsa and ATM Zunheboto block, Hitokali Zhimomi stated that A. K. Singh while delivering a speech focused on the growth of sustainable agriculture through organic farming. He proposed a planning from bottom to top approach where the farmer’s indigenous technical knowledge should synergize with modern technology. He further advised the young minds of ATMA to transfer their knowledge to the farmers and not hold it within themselves.
Registrar in-charge NU professor, N. S. Jamir in his short speech applauded the ATMA, KVK and ICAR for their intervention in enhancing agriculture in the state. He also challenged the gathering to enhance the marketing policy by exporting more and importing less.
PD ATMA Zunheboto, K Khekiho Shohe delivered the key note address of the meeting wherein he proposed better co-ordination between all Agri & Allied departments and sharing of  knowledge about each other’s programs or schemes so as to work in convergence through the ATMA platform.
The first edition of “The Farmers’ Dream” (A newsletter of ATMA Zunheboto) was also released by the special guests.
The program was chaired by deputy PD ATMA Zunheboto, Tokato Zhimomi, while vote of thanks was proposed by accountant-cum-clerk ATMA Zunheboto, Enos Sheqi. Altogether 35 officials from agri & allied departments, KVK scientists and the ATMA staff Zunheboto attended the meeting. 
ATMA Peren, Ahthibung block: Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Peren under Ahthibung block inaugurated composite farm school at Songlhuh village on December 2 by SDO (Civil), T. Lankonsen Tsanglao as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Lankonsen encouraged the farmers about the subsidiary income through rabi crops in jhum and terrace field and also to take up agriculture on sustainable basis to enhance their livelihood.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Convenor, ATMA Ahthibung block, Oren Odyou while the keynote address basing on the concept of farm school was delivered by BTM, Lhaihoichong Singson. 
God’s blessing was invoked by farm school teacher, Khupthang and vote of thanks was proposed by ATM, Neivah Hangsing.
