With a view to allow upcoming students to be at par with others in competitive studies, a “career seminar” under the theme “unleash your potential for excellence” was held on December 28 at Thehouba, Ward-5, Medziphema.
According to convener BCAMT Kohima, Megolhu Dolie and Baptist Church ‘A’ Medziphema town members secretary Zasivi Meyase, in the first session, EAC, Chümoukedima, Thejavizo Nakhro stressed on the importance of time maintenance as well as group studies in preparation for competitive exams. “It may take years but once you’re committed, you’ll surely be through someday”, he exhorted while noting that he was able to make it only after spending anywhere between 3-15 hours of daily study for over six years.
Deputy secretary NPSC, Kelhousetuo Nakhro revealed that successful students were the ones, who never gave up despite repeated failures and shared that God must be the priority in decision-making towards attempting such exams. He also informed the students that sacrifice like discipline, was vital for success.
Architect and proprietor, Zynorique Consultants, Richard Belho said that entrepreneurship faces countless obstacles but that it was one of the most efficient means to be independent.
He lamented that Nagas were becoming “lethargic” and have developed a kind of status-conscious, easy lives.
Meanwhile, the organizers, Baptist Church ‘A’, Medziphema Town members of Kohima informed that the seminar was held to create awareness and give guidance to youngsters who will be future leaders of the society. They expressed gratitude to the resource persons, participants, well-wishers and everyone involved in the seminar. Over 150 students including unemployed youths participated and interacted with resource lecturers, during the three sessions.
