“Tsüpfüme Nyi”, which is observed once in every five years, was celebrated at Tsüpfüme Community Hall, Kohima from December 27-28 with Deo Nukhu, MLA as chief guest.
During each festival, all in-laws from outside the village were invited to be part of the occasion with a view to help them learn and experience the unique culture of the village. The festival is also held to connect children to their roots through several demonstrations of culture in the form of indigenous songs, dances, games, etc. The festival is alternatively hosted by village dwellers and those living in towns and cities. This year, it was hosted by Tsüpfüme Nupfü Rhüme (Tsüpfüme village dwellers).
