MGM group of institutions, Diocesan mission education board, Bhilai organised a webinar on pedagogical training series on “teacher-the behaviour manager”, for principals and teachers on June 3 with principal, Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram, Kerala, Dr. Rosamma Philip as resource person.
A press release by MGM College stated that diocesan education officer, Rev. Fr Dr Joshi Varghese, presided the session with brief introduction of the resource person while Bishop of MGM institutions, Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, inaugurated the webinar.
The release informed that the webinar highlighted “behaviour modification to be the ultimate aim of education”. Bringing out differences between content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge, the resource person said that the teacher was to develop behavioural competencies (knowledge+ skills+ Attitudes+ values+ Performance) to transfer them to students. He added that teachers should develop optimistic thoughts to inculcate positive attitudes among learners, and develop appropriate language in classrooms. Around 770 participants from various MGM institutions including participated in the webinar.
