SSAALWC to partially allow resumption of 2-lane road works

SARDP Sumi Area Affected Landowners Welfare Committee (SSAALWC) has decided to partially allow the two-lane construction work under Sumi jurisdiction.

In a press release, SSAALWC convenor Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi and joint secretary Bosukha Chishi stated that after thorough deliberation, the committee adopted three-point resolution.

The committee resolved to partially allow resumption of two-lane road work with effect from June 7; resumption of road work would be allowed only to those uncut portion of land/spot left abandoned by Gayatri-Maytas construction company and later compensated to beneficiaries/landowners by NHIDCL during the year 2018-19.

It also resolved that the remaining areas of land/spot where Gayatri-Maytas had “horribly caused the enormous damages to standing properties during 2011-2013 and falls under SARDP-NE phase-2 property damages compensation will not be allowed to resume the work”.

It further stated that the total revocation of road work would be amicably settled, provided that the aggrieved/SSAALWC receive written assurance from the competent authority(s) as per previous joint resolutions.
