Rengmas demand Tseminyu district; begin indefinite dharna

Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ), youth organisation, and Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) have begun an indefinite peaceful dharna at ADC office complex, Tseminyu from Tuesday in support of the Rengmas’ demand for Tseminyu district. 
In a joint statement issued by RSZ president, Kenneth Kath and RSU president, RN David, the organisations asserted that the dharna would continue until their dream for a district was achieved and Tseminyu sub-division upgraded to district headquarters. 
The two organisations also appealed to all sections of the society to support the cause of the Rengmas. 
According to the statement, the dharna would continue through the New Year and that residents of all Rengma villages and ranges would participate in it at the ADC office complex, Tseminyu. 
On Wednesday, the gathering was address by Rengma Hoho president and other Rengma leaders.
