The general public of Pungro sub- division has carried out a major road repairing at 0.2 road leading to Likimro Hydro Electrical Project (LHEP), the main lifeline of the people of Pungro sub-division, from December 20 and 21 spearheaded by the Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) and administration of Pungro.
In a press release issued by president PFPSD, S. Kiusumew Yimchungru stated that the road repairing have been done six times within this year alone due to
the deplorable condition in the areas. It stated that the road was pliable for vehicles.
PFPSD urged the transport department to resume the bus service to Pungro as the road condition was quite satisfactory for plying. Public forum further pointed out that the road which is the main lifeline of the people of Pungro sub-division is connecting more than 54 villages across Myanmar border and present transmitting power supply of 24 MW LHEP, besides other developmental activities in the areas.
