ANCSU reminds NU vice chancellor

The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has reminded the Nagaland University vice chancellor of its memorandum submitted on October 1, 2020 and sought necessary action.

In a representation addressed to the NU VC, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and general secretary Imnameren N Jamir stated that there has so far been no positive response towards the development issues raised in the memorandum.

ANCSU stated that students were undergoing an “unprecedented situation” and that “normal functioning of the university is probably affected”.

The ANCSU expressed hope that the issues it had raised would be prioritised and necessary action would be taken on a par with other issues.

It may be mentioned that some of the issues raised by ANCSU in its memorandum included more college offering post graduate courses; proposal for NU “facilitation centre at NU Mereima campus and SETM, Dimapur campus; appointment of assistant/associate professors and salary; issuing of meritorious certificate and medal and pass certificate and migration certificate.
