COVID-19: Containment measures, activities, advisories

The state government departments and district administrations have issued various advisories for the public and government employees in order to contain the spread of COVID-19. Vaccination drives are also being consistently undertaken, in order to ensure that all the citizens stay protected. 

Special vaccination drive in Kiphire: Special vaccination drive on COVID-19 vaccine commenced at Government Higher Secondary School Kiphire.
On the first day of vaccination, 91 beneficiaries of 45 years and above and 19 beneficiaries of 18 years and above received the jab.
The vaccination drive was also continued in other towns in the district. Along with medical staffs, members from district task force Kiphire, district administration, USLP, ESH, student leaders and women organisation assisted in the special drive. 
Meanwhile, political leaders, tribal leaders and church leaders also took the initiative to share awareness video clips on social media to educate the people on the advantages and benefits of getting the vaccine. (Correspondent)
DTF Longleng organises sensitisation campaign: District Task Force, Longleng lead by the district administration, police, medical department and village guard organised a sensitisation campaign on June 8, at Yongnyah & Namsang Area under Tamlu Sub-division of Longleng.
Vaccination drive, formation of Village Task Force and Community Care Centre was carried out as part of the sensitisation program.
Kazheto Kinimi visits Akuluto: Advisor NSDMA and CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi visited Akuluto on June 6 and interacted with SDTF Akuluto, Zunheboto, regarding its preparedness against COVID-19 pandemic under its jurisdiction. 
According to DIPR, the advisor assured the SDTF of TrueNat testing facility and oxygen concentrators at Akuluto PHC at the nearest possible time. 
Kazheto also provided assistance to SDTF and made an appeal to remain sincere in the fight against the pandemic.
DC Wokha issues advisory: Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force for COVID-19 Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed that in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive case at SBI main branch, Wokha, all customers who have visited the bank with effect from June 4 have been advised remain home quarantined for 10 days with self monitoring of their health by wearing mask, social distancing and frequently hand washing.
During the quarantine period, should any of the symptoms, fever, cough and difficulty in breathing develops, DC has requested them to isolate and contact the district helpline numbers at 9863663885 (war room) and 70859885597 or 7628832000 (district hospital) for any assistance and information.
Vaccination to be held Peren town hall: ADC of Peren, K. Mhathung Tsanglao has notified that due to various difficulties at the present vaccination site at district hospital, Peren, the ongoing vaccination for COVID-19 would be temporarily carried out at Town Hall, Peren Town from June 8 till July 8. 
Meanwhile, the ADC also notified that the intensified vaccination drive from June 8-18 for all eligible beneficiaries of 18-44 years and 45 years and above, on-site registration and vaccination would be carried out in all the wards under Peren town as per the scheduled listed: June 10; team I would be ward no 3- Ndining, dressing room, Local Ground; team II; ward no 4- Duiring, chairman’s residence, On June 11: team I; ward no 5- Nsetning, Anganwadi Centre, team II; ward no 6- Mdipuiram, chairman’s residence; June 12: team I; ward no 7- Beilikui, ward council hall; team II; ward no 8- Bana, Ban GPS, June 14: team I; ward no 9- Nkozai, ward council secretary’s residence.
The ADC has also requested differently abled people to contact health workers in their respective areas for special priority for vaccination. All the ward chairmen have been asked to mobilise their respective Ward Task Force to extend all possible assistance for smooth conduct of the vaccination drive. The beneficiaries have also been requested to maintain COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
House sealed at Aboi: In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, ADC Aboi, Chumlamo Humstoe has ordered the sealing of a house at Khendinyu field, Ngangching Village with boundaries as follows: North: Block Institute of Teachers Education (BITC); East: Border Roads; West: Forest; South: Khendinyu. The ADC has informed that the house was to remain sealed till further orders. Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under IPC Section 188 and other legal provisions as applicable.
