Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has announced creative writing contest for students of classes 6 to 12 celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur.
According to DIPR report, the department has informed that the contest was being organised as per government of India’s directive. The contest would be held at five levels – school, block, district, state and national – during the period May 1 to February 2022.
DoSe has informed that the top 200 winners from the state level contest would participate at the national level contest which would be organised by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) through MyGov Platform.
In this regard, DoSE has directed all heads of all schools (both government and private) having classes 6 to 12 to organise creative writing, creative presentations, portfolio activity, role play etc. for students of aforesaid classes so as to integrate the life and historic perspective of Guru Teg Bahadur in the classroom/online transactions during the period of June to August 2021.
DoSE has asked schools to issue certificate of participation to all students participating at the various events.
It has informed that the block and state level contests would be organized in the months of September and October 2021respectivelyand detailed notifications for the same will be issued in due course of time.
DoSE has informed heads of all GHSSs, GHSs and private schools to submit the report of activities undertaken in this regard to the respective DEOs and heads of all GMSs to submit the report to the respective Sr. SDEOs/ SDEOs in the format given in MS Excel File through email.
It has informed all DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs to compile reports submitted by schools under their jurisdiction and submit the consolidated report to the directorate of school education before September 5 through Google drive link, which would be provided in due course of time.
