
In order to prevent and combat the surge of COVID-19 cases in the state, the state government and various agencies have been issuing guidelines for the safety of the public.
“DocOn” app launched in Mon: Mon District Task Force (DTF) for COVID-19 under the Chairmanship of DC Mon, Thavaseelan K launched a free video consultation facility for patients through an application called “DocOn” on June 14.
According to DIPR report, DocOn allows patients to book video consultation appointment with doctors enabling patients to consult with the doctor remotely from anywhere making it safe and convenient.
Through the app, the patient can: book video consultation appointment; receive lifetime access to digital prescription (e-prescription); maintain medical history & share reports with the doctor; get reminders about upcoming appointment and post consultation chat with the doctor.
The app is available on App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Andriod. In response to the situation, the DTF initiated this service to enable the public to gain access to health care from the safety of one’s own home.
Currently, nine doctors from district hospital, Mon are available for consultation on DocOn App with more to follow shortly.
T. Yangseo Sangtam visits Pungro: DPDB Kiphire chairman, T. Yangseo Sangtam, MLA, visited Pungro and held a meeting with the administration, medical team, frontline workers, public leaders and NGOs at GA Rest House, Pungro on Tuesday.
Yangseo urged the citizens not to believe false information and encouraged them to avail the vaccine.
He also called upon the gathering to educate people and spread awareness on the importance of getting vaccinated.
He also inspected the ongoing road repairing in his initiative connecting from Pungro to Mimi, Likimro, Amikiuro, Mutenkhong, Mimi, Khongjiri, Longkhimvong, Tsurevong, Khonsa, Salomi and Luthur.
DC Mon informs on additional directives: DC and chairman DTF, Mon, Thavaseelan K has issued an order that the existing lockdown measures and directives would continue to remain in force in till June 18 with additional directives such as: no mask, no movement and no mask- no entry will be strictly enforced by all concerned; permitted shops and business establishment shall be allowed to open between 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Shops selling stationeries, mobile phones and computer accessories, hardware, garage for automobiles and shops selling vehicles spare parts would be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Regular religious service and gathering shall continue to be suspended. However, prayer meetings and fellowships may be allowed in religious places with not more than 20 persons.
Administrative offices of schools/colleges with a core group of officers/staff would be permitted to attend urgent and essential matters; private business offices with a core group of officers/staff may be permitted to attend urgent and essential matters with the prior permission of the DTF.
Common service Centres (CSCs) in the district would be permitted to open for IT support during COVID-19 vaccination; New construction works are permitted and fresh labourers shall be allowed as per provision under the revised SOP for returnees and travelers and Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) including taxis would be allowed to ply on odd-even basis.
Drivers of taxis have been directed to get negative Covid test report for resumption of service while bus services, two-wheeler taxi services and pillion riding would remain suspended.
Meanwhile, the DC also issued an order in regard to the movement of LMVs on ODD-EVEN basis to be effective till June 18 within Mon district.
The DC has informed that vehicles with registration number ending with odd numbers would be allowed to ply on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while vehicles with registration number ending with even numbers would be allowed to play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Further, the DC informed that violation of the order would invite penalties U/S 177 and 179 of the MV Act 1988. All officers and staff in the exempted category have also been asked to carry identity cards issued by respective HoDs.
House sealed in Pughoboto: In view of detection and confirmation of COVID-19 positive case and in the larger interest of public health and safety, ADC & chairman, SDTF Pughoboto, Thungchanbemo Tungoe has ordered the sealing of house no. 105 at Vulaito colony, Pughoboto with immediate effect.
During the seal period, all movement of persons within the sealed area has been strictly prohibited.
House sealed at Tobu: In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, EAC Tobu, Tsidi has ordered the immediate sealing of house no.285, Shamyak Ward, Tobu town till further order.
The ADC and EAC have informed that any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under IPC Section 188 and other legal provisions as applicable.
