Fuel prices hiked

After keeping the prices unchanged on Tuesday, the state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) Wednesday increased prices of petrol and diesel by 22-25 paise per litre and 12-14 paise per litre respectively.

After the latest hike, petrol price in Dimapur soared to Rs.95.35 per litre while diesel price rose to Rs.89.52 per litre. Similarly, in the state capital Kohima, prices of petrol and diesel climbed to Rs.95.35 per litre and Rs.89.52 per litre respectively. The hike on Wednesday was the 25th increase in prices since May 4. In 24 increases, petrol price has risen by Rs 6.26 per litre and diesel by Rs 6.68 a litre.
