Muivah’s health condition stable

A team of medical doctors at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) informed that the health status of  87-year-old NSCN (I-M) ato kilonser Th Muivah was stable. He was rushed to CIHSR on Saturday evening after complaining of uneasiness and admitted for observation.

Muivah had reportedly been tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, a day after attending a meeting with the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue.

Addressing media Sunday, CIHSR medical superintendent (MS) Dr C Momin and consultant physician Dr Avitso Liegise informed that the health status of NSCN (I-M) leader was stable. Muivah was admitted to a special ICU in the hospital and was under constant observation by specialist doctors.

A doctor also told Nagaland Post that Muivah’s health parameters were stable but due to age factor, the lungs would be monitored closely. If tests confirm that there was no further cause for concern, then the NSCN (I-M) leader can be discharged.

NSCN (I-M) sources also confirmed that Muivah’s condition was stable and that his oxygen saturation level was normal. Sources said he has a history of throat irritation and several tests would be conducted on him as a precautionary measure.
