
Assam Rifles under the of Headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles – North (HQ IGAR- North) organised COVID-19 vaccination drive and various other activities across the state.
Kiphire Bn: Kiphirebattalion of Assam Rifles assisted the district administration Kiphire in organising a COVID-19 vaccination cum awareness drive Sunday at Kiphire Town.
According to Assam Rifles, the event was organised collaboration with DTF for COVID-19 and other CSOs in Kiphire Town wherein 175 beneficiaries were vaccinated. The vaccination drive was led by Dr Amos, Herole VCCM (UNDP) and the medical officer of 7 Assam Rifles.
Phek Bn: Phekbattalion of Assam Rifles in collaboration with DTFPhek organised a COVID vaccination cum awareness drive Sunday atPhek town.
According to Assam Rifles, during the vaccination 227 beneficiaries were vaccinated. The vaccination drive was conducted under the guidance of deputy commissioner (DC) Phek, Razouvolie Dozo and medical team of 22 Assam Rifles.
Jalukie Bn: Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles Sunday organised COVID-19 Awareness drive for the residents of New Jalukie village, Peren district.
Earlier, the battalion also organised door to door COVID-19 awareness programme on June 19 at Pungalwa, Peren district.
According to AR, during the visits the public were sensitised about COVID-19 pandemic. The battalion organised a medical camp and COVID-19 campaign on June 18-19 at Njauna village and Lalong village.
Yoga day: In a run up to “International Yoga Day”, Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles organisedyoga session for troops and villagers in Perendistrict on Sunday.
According to Assam Rifles, the villagers were briefed about the various postures of yoga and their benefits in the body and were also informed about the growing importance and popularity of yoga all over the world.
The people were motivated to make yoga as a part of their daily routine which would help them lead a healthier life. To emphasize more on the benefits of yoga and celebration of international yoga day, posters and banners were also placed in the villages, informed Assam Rifles.
