Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) reached out to 217 field-staff of the power department on “world motorcycle day” (WMD). The majority of field-staff were work charge employees in three districts: Dimapur; Kohima and Tuensang where the club has its units.
In a press release, NMC informed that the electrical field-workers and a few counterparts in other departments unlike most government servants who have been able to work from home or were getting respite from attending office since 2019, have been taking additional risks in ensuring that electricity in the state does not get disrupted to the best of their ability despite technical and financial handicaps.
Nagaland Motorcycle Club as a small gesture of appreciation and gratitude to their invaluable service collected a sum of Rs. 108500 from among the club members in the three districts and distributed it to 217 field workers through their respective offices.
