Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has declared that two members of the Kuki community allegedly involved in the killings at Lamhainamdi on March 22 were “understood to be persons of vagabond nature, outcaste and no attachments with family and community”.
KIN president L. Singsit, general secy. Thangkhokai Gangte and media cell secretary Lallenmang Singson stated that the duo was working against the community’s interest and ideals of peace and harmony.
Asserting that violence had no place in the modern society, KIN clarified that the crimes and action of such persons in no way reflected the community’s thoughts and perception. KIN said the accused deserved befitting punishment and “should not stand in the way of understanding and brotherly relationship.”
Meanwhile, KIN lauded the efforts of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of PHQ and urged the responsible authorities to take the investigation to its logical conclusion.
