Govt announces ”Unlock 4” from Aug 1-18

 Night curfew timing relaxed– 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. 

Shops allowed to open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19 headed by chief minister Neiphiu Rio has announced relaxation of some lockdown restrictions as part of the Unlock 4 process with modified standard operating procedures (SOPs) from August 1-18, 2021.

Minister planning and coordination, land revenue and parliamentary affairs Neiba Kronu, who is also the HPC spokesperson, told Nagaland Post that night curfew timing has been relaxed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. while shops would remain open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

He also informed that public transport– taxis and buses would be allowed to ply with 50% occupancy provided the drivers/conductor were vaccinated. For restaurants, he said takeaways should be allowed except during curfew hours.

For railways and social gatherings, Kronu said that the existing SOP would continue. With regard to opening of schools and colleges, Kronu said modified SOPs would be released as per the court order. 

On the issue of “No vaccination, no salary,” order of the state government, Kronu said that HPC had discussed the matter and would prepare the matter and approach the court accordingly.

Further notifications and standard operating procedures for this phase of unlocking would be issued to the respective district task forces on COVID-19, the official said.
