Department of health and family welfare has informed that it would be organising population fortnight from June 27 to July 24 in commemoration of “World Population Day 2021” on the theme “provisions of family planning services even in crisis, for a self-reliant nation and family” in Mokokchung.
In a press release, district programme management unit
NRHM, Mokokchung informed that during this fortnight, services such as tubectomy, IUCD insertions would be provided free of cost.
Tubectomy would be carried out at district hospital Mokokchung and IUCD insertions would be done at PHCs and CHCs.
Those interested have been informed to avail these services by providing names to ASHAs or visit the nearest health centre during the mobilisation fortnight.
Oral contraceptive pills and condoms would also be distributed by ASHAs during the fortnight, it further informed.
