Yhokha urges government employees to be role models

Kohima district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting was held on June 29 at DPDB conference hall, Kohima. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of advisor for technical education and Elections, Medo Yhokha.

According to DIPR report, Yhokha expressed gratitude to the state government for endorsing him to take up the responsibility to work as a team under the platform of the DPDB.

Stating that everyone has been facing tremendous difficulties, Yhokha encouraged the officers and staff to reorient themselves to be the role models in different capacities, be it in social or community circles to keep everyone safe.

He also reminded them that the pandemic should not be an excuse to neglect their duties and urged them to take up roles and responsibilities in any circumstances to fulfil the expectations and to reach out to the people, especially to rural areas by maintaining appropriate COVID-19 behavior.

Dwelling on the urgency of the impending Nagaland state biodiversity, which the preparation of people’s biodiversity registers (PBR) was to be done in the state latest by June 30, DC Gregory Thejawelie reminded the concerned officials to send the details to the board before June 15 in order to send the report to the National Green Tribunal.

During the meeting, North East Taekwondo Union (NETU) and Nagaland International Research Center Societies were recommended for registration by the board and the members also recommended for approval to the state government of LADP 2021-2022 and grant-in-aid to three private schools for the session 2021-2022.
