NVBDCP Kma observes ‘anti-dengue month’

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) Kohima district observed “anti-dengue month” from July 1-30 to spread awareness, prevention and control of the disease.

In a press release, Kohima district vector borne officer (DVBO), Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase informed that various activities were conducted in 12 villages under Kohima district: Kohima Sardar; Jakhama block; Sechu block; Chiephobozou block and Tseminyu block. 

MTS/ SWs and ASHAS from all the blocks conducted the activities along with district consultant and senior entomology and team from directorate of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Kohima.

Various activities such as house to house vector density study and miking awareness was conducted in order to educate the community on the dengue.
