Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB), NPF youth wing 2 Dimapur II A/C, Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church (KLBC) and Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) on separate occasions celebrated advent Christmas.
NStCB: Officers and staff of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) celebrated advent Christmas in the head office premises of the bank on December 16.
According to general manager, administration and vigilance, Lipoktuba Aier, during the celebrations, managing director, Imtilemba Longkumer conveyed Christmas greetings while general manager (P&D), Ningsangwaba talked about the meaning of Christmas.
The programme was chaired by assistant manager, Apokla Longkumer, benediction by Ariekpe Chamlak, invocation by DGM (Admn & Vigil), T.Imkong, scripture reading by Basanti Ao and Christmas melody and hymn by AGM Khothunglo, assistant branch manager Kevibou Tsukru and assistant manager Neilalie Cheiro.
NPF: NPF youth wing 2 Dimapur II A/C organized a pre-Christmas-cum-picnic at Kukidolong on December 16.
A press release by NPF 2 Dimapur II A/C youth wing general secretary, Pitovi V. Ayemi stated that objective of the occasion was to strengthen party and oneness among the “active party loyalists” under Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu. The picnic party was led by president, Imlisunep Longkumer and attended by Dimapur division colleagues, president minority cell central, central office bearers (COB) with all the frontal of Dimapur division and well wishers. The 2 Dimapur II A/C also wished all the party workers of Nagaland a joyous Christmas and prosperous New Year.
KLBC: Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church (KLBC) celebrated advent Christmas at their church premises on December 17. A press release by KLBC stated that church secretary Dr. Ratan Kautintta delivered the Christmas message. He said Christmas was celebrated all over the world by Christians and it was important for Christians to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Dr. Ratan stated that Christmas was observed to pay honour and remember Jesus Christ for His all great works.
NCSU: Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) Kohima headquarter celebrated its advent Christmas-cum-felicitation programme with Cross Wonder Church Kohima, senior Pastor, Rev. Ketou Theünuo as the main speaker at Hotel Ura, Kohoma.
According to NCSU general secretary, John Kath, in his Christmas message, Rev. Ketou called upon contractors to be committed and sincere builders. He encouraged the contractors and traffic police personnel to be givers and to execute their responsibilities with a smile on the face thereby sharing the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Senior SP Kohima, Vekhosa Chakhesang, lauded NCSU for felicitating the traffic police every year and encouraging them to fulfil their responsibility more sincerely. He was also appreciative of the contractors for their services while also expressing hope that the union would work continuously for the welfare of the people.
Marking the celebration for the fourth year, NCSU acknowledged the service of the traffic police personnel in manning the massive traffic in Kohima.
The best traffic personnel awards went to: Nk. Khrievotuo-ü Zumvü of 15 NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion under female category and traffic constable Vikholie-o Kense under male category.
Meanwhile, NCSU secretary Hoshito Assumi informed that the best traffic award was handed over for their tireless service to the people of the state. NCSU president, Pele Khezhie handed over the award consisting of a citation and Rs. 10,000 each.
The programme was chaired by NCSU advisor, Povotso Lohe, invocation by Merhülietsa CRC Kohima, Pastor Chekrosayi Phesao, welcome address by NCSU vice-president Ntsenthung Tungoe and special melody by Keziah Semy.
