FAC to impart indigenous skills to students
In a press release, information and publicity cell of the college informed that the building would be utilised by the college as a centre for imparting indigenous skills and vocational courses to the students of Fazl Ali College. While delivering the keynote address, principal of the collge, Helen Jamir on behalf of the college fraternity acknowledged the Chuchuyimpang village council for the much required one of its kind Morung built within the college campus.
In his speech, Chuchuyimpang village council Chairman shared joy to be donating the Morung on behalf of the council to the oldest college in Nagaland.
He envisioned that the true purpose of Ketsangriju would benefit thousands of learners and realise positive results in the future.
Earlier, IQAC FAC member and assistant professor, Ao department, Toshisangla chaired the programme while Tzusapang Baptist Church pastor Rev. W. Supong Kichutzar offered the dedicatory prayer.
The programme was attended by members of the college IQAC while other faculty members joined through the live streaming.
FAC, in the press release said that a solid grounding on one’s culture and tradition was vital to the development of an individual’s character and personality. It also opined that students must be clear about their roots and identity before they step out to a world of multiple possibilities.
Further, FAC hoped that the symbolic Arju (Morung) donated by Chuchuyimpang Riongsanger Putu Tatar Menden would be a stepping stone towards the academic roadmap of the college. It may be mentioned that the Morung was donated by Chuchuyimpang village council. The project to build the Morung was decided on March 5, 2021 by the village council along with the college authority. The building project was entrusted to three person of the council member and the total cost of the building stood at Rs. 5, 39,790.
