CNCCI flays ultimatum on traders

Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has vehemently condemned the purported “ultimatum/threat” being circulated on social media by the NNPGs Sumi region to the business community under Sumi region.

In a press release, CNCCI vice president S Abenthung Ngullie and general secretary Dr. Seyievilie Mor said the chamber has taken “serious note” of business community members being made victims due to political differences between different Naga political groups. CNCCI affirmed that it had always been supportive for early and honourable solution to the “long protracted Naga political issue.”
Asserting that it respected all Naga political groups in their pursuit for a final solution, the CNCCI, however, said various Naga political groups should understand that the solution to Naga political issue “neither lies with the business community nor forced closing/opening of their establishments.”
CNCCI has, therefore, appealed to the NPGs to resolve the Naga political issue in the right platform and stop harassing the peaceful section of society (business community) for Naga solution. “Conducting business activity is our livelihood and that cannot be contested nor infringed upon by any organization,” CNCCI remarked.
