
Launchpad Education & Career Fair was virtually launched at the directorate of youth resources & sports, Kohima on August 4.
According to a DIPR report, advisor, youth resources & sports, Er. Zale Neikha lauded the department, YouthNet and supporting department, school education for working tirelessly to help students with career guidance and expressed hope that the programme would improve the society to move forward.
He also announced the Launchpad awards where smartphones were awarded to Ethel A Konyak of Government Higher Secondary School, Tizit, Leyang B. N Shiu of Government Higher Secondary School, Tuensang and Ayimwati of Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School.
Laptops were awarded to Nithosano Nagi of Jotsoma Government Higher Secondary School and Dina Rai of Government Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. Scholarship for graduation was also awarded to Rosy Konyak of Government Higher Secondary School Mon, graduation in English at Government College Dimapur, Tsarobi of Government Higher Secondary School Kiphire, graduation in Economic at Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire, Muthiam P, Government Higher Secondary School, Noklak graduation in History at Capital College, Kohima, T. Chijava, Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, graduation in Education at Yingli College, Longleng.
Best school was awarded to Tizit Government Higher secondary school, Mon and best teacher was awarded to Chubarenla Imsong of Bautung Government Higher secondary school.
Earlier, YouthNet director, Nuneseno Chase highlighted on the overview of the Launchpad, welcome address was delivered by YRS director, Akumla Chuba while vote of thanks was delivered by public information officer, Libemo Jami.
