State power department Friday informed that a sudden gust of storm on August 5 wreaked havoc in the power system, leaving many areas, colonies and districts without power supply due to snapping of EHV tower lines and distribution lines.
In a press note, chief engineer (D&R) Moa Aier stated that officials and field staff were working around the clock under challenging circumstances to restore the power supply. The department has requested consumers to bear with the department during such crisis.
