
Food Safety Wing (FSSAI) under the aegis of the directorate of health & family welfare conducted a training for hotel, restaurant & home based product operators on FoSTaC (food safety training and certification) on August 7 at Hotel Japfü on the theme “food safety everyone’s responsibility”.
A press release from the chief medical officers’ office informed that during the programme keynote addressed was delivered by SPO Dr. John Kemp while the technical session was conducted by trainer Sanjay Kale from Kai Vanjibaba Gramin Vikas Mandal, Nashik Maharashtra.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by designated officer (food safety), Peterson Pongener,
It may be mentioned that the main objective of the training was to provide safe hygienic food and healthy food management to consumers.
The trainer also highlighted the importance of food handling and storage especially for business operators to avoid food poisoning.
