Dimapur police have reportedly arrested four persons on charges of abduction and illegal detention of a woman.
According to ADCP (Crime) and PRO Dimapur police, the arrests were made on different dates following a complaint lodged by the victim that she was illegally detained by unknown people for four days in an unknown location.
During investigation, the PRO said it was ascertained that the issue originated from the victim’s inability to pay back a loan amounting to several lakhs of rupees to a local credit society.
The four arrested have been identified as– Semato Shohe (35) “Leacy” NSCN (I-M); Ahuka Yeptho (36) “Secretary” NSCN (I-M); Sunjemtoshi Aier (42) and Supong Ao (46).
In this connection, PRO said that a case has been registered with East Police Station.
