ATMA Pfütsero block conducted training & demonstration at Lekromi village, Phek on August 6.
In a press release, ATMA Phek informed that during the programme, resource person AO Pfütsero, Potsülü Theluo imparted training on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and use of biofertilisers.
The resource persons also demonstration the use of Tricho cards in paddy, trichoderma in large cardamom and use of rhizobium biofertilisers in pea/pulses.
Resource person, ATM Pfütsero block Virhupu Domeh conducted a demonstration on waste decomposer where waste decomposer (WD) formulation was prepared which could be used for quick composting of organic waste which is crop residue, soil health improvement and as plant protection agent.
Meanwhile, ATMA Pfütsero block inaugurated a new persimmon farm school at Lekromi village with Neisa K Mero as farm schoolteacher along with a new Food Security Group (FSG) formed from Kami village, Phek.
Earlier, BTM Pfütsero block Khruvolu Swuro highlighted on the concept of farm school and stressed on the roles, responsibilities and cited the importance of forming a food security group. A field visit to Neikolo Mero’s farm was also conducted.
