
A seminar on “self-reliance” for unemployed youth was organised by Lotha Eloe Hoho (LEH) in collaboration with director, Higher Education, Kohima, Nagaland, Dr. Apeni Lotha Thursday LEH building, Wokha.
A press release by LEH stated that Fuchumbeni Humtsoe (Fuchum Sweet Box Wokha), Thunglamo T Humtsoe (Urban Growers Wokha) and Thungdemo Kyong (advisor, Team Metamorphosis, Wokha) were the resource persons.
In her address, LEH president, Zuchobeni Ezung encouraged participants to utilise traditional resources, be self-reliant which in turn would boost local economy.
Fuchumbeni Humtsoe stressed on the importance of being self-reliant, self-sufficient and encouraged the participants to venture into various platforms available to them. Sharing her experience, Humtsoe said she overcame challenges, failures and criticisms to start the first professional baking in Wokha. Thunglamo T Humtsoe stressed on the importance of local economy through agriculture and encouraged the participants to venture into agriculture sector by implying various modern techniques and plans for long term sustainable career.
Thungdemo Kyong advised the participants to choose the right career by realising their hidden talents which is the ultimate goal for long term successful career. Stating that no everyone could be accommodated in the government sector, Kyong said an individual has to come out in their comfort zone and strive forward with true determination.
The programme chaired by LEH general secretary, Loseno Ovung commenced with an invocation by LEH treasurer, Mhonchumi Kikon, welcome address by LEH president, Zuchobeni Ezung, vote of thanks by LEH finance secretary, Thungjano Kikon and benediction by LEH vice president, Renboni Jami.
