State level committee on AIDS constituted

To commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence and as per directives of National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) would be conducting awareness campaign in three phases. According to a DIPR report, this was aimed at online engagement and mobilities of minimum 50 students per schools and college for 25 schools and 25 colleges. For implementation of the campaign, a state level committee was formed with the following members: principal secretary, H&FW as chairperson; project director, NSACS as vice-chairperson; joint director, IEC, NSACS as convener and assistant director, Youth, NSACS as member secretary. The committee would also include representatives from department of school education, SCERT, NBSE, 

higher education, technical education, department of youth resources and sports (NYKS, NSS, NCC, Bharat Scout & Guides), social welfare department, state programme officer of national tuberculosis elimination program (NTEP), state blood transfusion council, HFW, department of information and public relation, All India Radio Kohima (AIR), Doordarshan Kendra Kohima (DDK) and Press Information Bureau (PIB) as members.

In this regard, a meeting has been convened on August 19, 12:30 p.m., in the conference hall of H&FW department, Nagaland civil secretariat. All concerned have been requested to attend the meeting.
