State Covid tally breaches 29,000 mark; 1 more die

Nagaland’s Covid-19 caseload breached the 29000 mark after 81 fresh Covid-19 positive cases were reported while one more patient succumbed to the infection on Friday.

Of the fresh cases, 24 were from Mokokchung, Dimapur-19, Kohima-11, eight in Tuensang, six each in Peren and Wokha, four in Zunheboto and one each in Kiphire, Longleng and Mon, taking the total caseload to 29036. 

Further, one more patient succumbed to the virus in Dimapur, pushing the death toll to 594 (including 14 non-Covid deaths).

PTI: India saw a single-day rise of 40,120 Covid cases, taking the tally to 3,21,17,826, while the death toll climbed to 4,30,254 with 585 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.
