Altogether 2,55,398 people visited the 10-day long 18th edition of the Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage village, Kisama.
As per the information provided by Tourist officer (statistical I/c) Toka E. Tuccumi, 2401 foreign tourists, 38700 domestic tourists and 214297 local visitors witnessed the Hornbill Festival 2017.
On the final day (Sunday), the festival witnessed the highest number of visitors totalling 78658 people including 129 foreign tourists, 12055 domestic tourists and 66,474 local visitors.
The 2017 festival saw a rise of over one lakh visitors as compared to last year. In 2016, the total number of visitors was 112604, from day-1 to 10 including 1646 foreign tourists, 14962 domestic tourists and 95996 local visitors. (Correspondent)
