With regard to implementation of Post-Matric Scholarship CSS and merit-cum-means based scholarship under National Scholarship Portal (NSP), the higher & technical education department has informed all higher secondary schools and colleges that Aadhaar-based authentication of institute nodal officers (INOs)–KYC –has been made mandatory from the session 2021-22, prior to verification of applicationsby them for which the INOs would have to provide their Aadhaar numbers on NSP portal.
According to DIPR, the department also advised institutes and colleges to complete this process by August 31, without which a student’s scholarship application form cannot be verified online in NSP.
The facility to perform the exercise has been made live on the NSP portal and the one-time password (OTP) generated during the process will be sent to the mobile number registered with the Aadhaar of INO. NSP will be using the same mobile number for all communications and sending OTPs in future. The NSP login of the INO will be operational, post completion of KYC at NSP using Aadhaar number of the INO.
The link to apply for Institute KYC registration is available under “Services” section on the NSP portal (https://scholarships.gov.in).
The department stressed that utmost care should be taken while filling up KYC registration form as it cannot be modified after submission. Steps involved in applying for KYC has been made available at www.dtenagaland.org.in under “Notification” section. For any queries, institute has been asked to mail their queries to minoritynagaland@gmail.com.
