Diesel price cut, LPG hiked by Rs. 25 per cylinder

After keeping the prices of fuels unchanged for over a month, the state-owned oil marketing companies Wednesday slashed diesel prices by 19-21 paise across the country, but petrol prices remained at the same level prevailing for the last one month.

Diesel prices in Dimapur and Kohima decreased to Rs.91.71 per litre and Rs.92.23 per litre respectively. While petrol continued to be sold at Rs.100.28 litre in Dimapur and Rs. 101.23 per litre in the state capital.

LPG price hiked: Domestic cooking gas LPG price on Wednesday was increased by Rs 25 per cylinder.

This is the second straight month of a price increase. Rates were hiked by Rs 25.50 per cylinder on July 1. Non-subsidised LPG rates were increased on August 1 by the same proportion.
