NFHRCC reminder on 30-day deadline

Threatens to launch indefinite protest if govt fails to act

Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has once again reminded the state government of the 30-day deadline to positively respond to the plea of making the foot hill road “pliable while waiting for the proposed mega project.”

NFHRCC convenor Supu Jamir, general secretary W. Lemba Chang and assistant general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe,  said that the Dimapur based Tribal hohos, students’ bodies and CNSA during the consultative meeting held at Hotel Saramati on August 16 reaffirmed the NFHRCC August 7 resolution and resolved to hold an indefinite agitation if the state government failed to respond positively.

NSH backs NFHRCC ultimatum: Northern Sumi Hoho (NSH) has affirmed to support the ultimatum served on the state government by the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC).

In a press release, NSH president Kughavi Chophy and general secretary Vikai Yeptho appreciated NFHRCC’s effort to make the project a reality for the people living in border areas and the state in general.

The hoho has, therefore, urged the state government to “exercise its commitment and show its sincerity” to the people by at least making the Foothill Road pliable.
