WCSU organises cleanliness drive at Tsumang Lake Wokha

Wokha Circle Students Union (WCSU) comprising of all units and WTC organised cleanliness & beautification drive at Tsumang Lake on the theme, “Let’s keep Tsumang Lake Clean” on 21 August.

In a press release, WCSU president C. Longshithung Lotha and general secretary Jonjibemo Tsopoe informed that the drive was supported and assisted by additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Wokha, Lankosen Tsanglao. In his short speech, ADC assured of all possible help in keeping Wokha town clean and said that the initiative was a stepping stone towards greater works in the days ahead.

The union planted flowers, pines., trees along the stretch of the lake.

Meanwhile, overgrown weeds and garbage were cleared while members also erected signboards and advised the general public to keep the lake clean.

WCSU also encouraged the public to be responsible and keep the Tsumang lake clean and beautiful.
