CASU backs USSC demands

Chare Area Student Union (CASU) has extended support to the United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC)’s demand for regular electricity supply at Longkhim-Chare under Tuensang district.

In a press release, CASU president Lichumse and assistant general secretary M Susangba stated that the current issue was factual and that the irregularity of electricity was aggravating the online classes.

CASU also supported USSC demand for telecom network connectivity and internet services within its jurisdiction under Tuensang district.

It stated that poor network in its jurisdiction was affecting the life of citizens, especially students attending online classes.

In this regard, the union has appealed to the power department Tuensang and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) of Reliance Jio and Airtel to look into the matter of Longkhim-Chare Area at the earliest.
