
Yangseo Sangtam, MLA 60 Pungro-Kiphire assembly constituency, along with CL John, MLA 45 Tehok assembly constituency, who is also the general secretary Eastern Nagaland Legislature Union (ENLU), met mission director, aspirational district, NITI Aayog, Rakesh Ranjan at his office chamber in New Delhi to apprise of the development project for aspirational district, Kiphire.
In a press release, OSD, planning & coordination, Thomas Thailu, informed that during the meeting, Yangseo shared grievances faced by the rural people of his constituency and requested NITI Aayog to provide more development projects to the area.
He also shared that many proposals were sent to the ministries but none was sanctioned.
In this regard, Rakesh Ranjan stated that Asian Development Bank (ADB) had sanctioned Rs.3 crore in February 2020 for educational sector, Rs.5 crore for overall development in January 2021 and Rs.3 crore for infrastructure sector in February 2021.
He said that total amount meant for development of aspirational district Kiphire was Rs.11 crore.
The mission director also asked Yangseo to send the proposal through the deputy commissioner for immediate approval after which the CEO, Niti Aayog would approve the projects for sanctioning.
Further, Rakesh Ranjan assured that he would conduct a virtual meeting along with his colleagues and deputy commissioner immediately to see the requirement and issues to be taken.
