Chümoukedima Circle Chakhroma Public Organisation (CCCPO) has reiterated its stand of “one government, one tax” under its jurisdiction as resolved by the Nagas on October 31, 2013.
CCCPO president Neikhriehu Kense and general secretary Khriebulie Peseyie in a release said the organisation, comprising 17 villages under Chümoukedima, observed that many national groups had been demanding various taxes from villages and from business establishments under its jurisdiction and had been causing undue harassment to village leaders.
CCCPO thus asked the national groups not to indulge in “demeaning activities”and instead focus on uniting with each other for an amicable political solution.
