MoS tribal affairs reviews ongoing projects in State

Union Minister of State for tribal affairs Renuka Singh reviewed the progress of ongoing projects sanctioned by her ministry to the State government under Art. 275 (1) of the Constitution, Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Scheme, Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and Tribal Research Institute (TRI) at a meeting held at Hotel Japfü, Kohima on Thursday. 

The review meeting was chaired by home commissioner Abhijit Sinha in the presence of other senior officials. 

During the meeting, Renuka was apprised of the decision on creating the new tribal affairs department by the cabinet and the activities being carried out by the department and DUDA. She also called on chief minister Neiphiu Rio at his official residence, in the presence of his cabinet colleagues.
