State Covid caseload breaches 30k-mark

Nagaland’s Covid-19 total caseload breached the 30000-mark after 31 fresh Covid-19 positive cases were recorded on August 30 while no deaths were reported during the day.

Of the fresh cases, 15 were from Dimapur, Mokokchung-10, four in Kohima and two in Phek, taking the total caseload to 30003. The death toll remained unchanged at 617 (including 14 non-Covid deaths).

PTI: India saw a single-day rise of 42,909 new COVID-19 infections, which took the total tally of cases to 3,27,37,939, while the death toll has climbed to 4,38,210 with 380 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.
